Cloud Models (Continued)

Cloud Service Models
Cloud provide various type of services to the consumers. There are several types of service models. These service models can be represented by 'XaaS' i.e. X-as-a-Service [1]. Where 'X' may be an Infrastructure, a Software, a Platform, or a Datacenter. Various types of service models are listed below [2].
  1. Software-as-a-service
  2. Platform-as-a-service
  3. Infrastructure-as-a-service
  4. Storage-as-a-service
  5. Database-as-a-service
  6. Integration-as-a-service
  7. Information-as-a-service
  8. Application-as-a-service
  9. Process-as-a-service
  10. Security-as-a-service
  11. Management-as-a-service
  12. Testing-as-a-service
For detailed explanations, students are advised to read the book [1-2] or any relevant cloud computing book.

Models of Cloud
Two Models of Cloud
1. Deployment Model
2. Service Model

The details about these models are given below.
1. Deployment Models
There are four  types of deployment models [1-2].
1.Private Cloud: The infrastructure of a private cloud is available  for an organization and is managed by the organization or a third party. Private cloud may exist  on or off premises of the organization.
2. Public Cloud: The infrastructure is available to the general public in a pay-as-you-go manner. It is owned by an organization selling cloud.
3. Hybrid Cloud: Hybrid cloud is the combination of two or more clouds. It may be combination of private and public cloud or may be combination of all the three deployment models.
4. Community Cloud: The infrastructure in the community cloud is shared by several organization. It may be managed by the organization or a third party
